This review is from: The 5 Elements of Effective Thinking (Hardcover)
I can’t recommend this book highly enough. It’s one of those rare books that is not only crammed full of useful information, but is also a joy to read. The authors have a gift for taking complex topics and breaking them down into bite-sized pieces that are easy to digest. They also have a knack for using analogies and stories to illustrate their points.
The book is divided into five sections, each devoted to one of the “elements” of effective thinking: 1) question everything; 2) think for yourself; 3) dig deeper; 4) consider alternatives; and 5) think ahead. Each section contains a wealth of practical tips and techniques for putting these principles into action.
My only criticism is that the book is a bit too US-centric. Some of the examples and stories used in the book refer specifically to US culture or history. However, this is a minor quibble. The book is still relevant and useful for readers from other cultures.
Overall, I would say that this book is a must-read for anyone who wants to improve their thinking skills. It’s an essential tool for success in any area of life.
